"(Full disclosure: This honest review is being given in exchange for a pillow protector and various scents.) Ordinarily, I like the smell of sandalwood, but even inside the pillow protector, I found this one overwhelming. I wanted to give it a fair chance, so I slept on it for two nights, but it affected my allergies. (Of course, it's that time of year, too, so maybe that contributed.) I had to remove it. Maybe I'll do what others have suggested and try it in my closet."

"I love sandalwood, so I was excited to try this scent. I go nose blind quickly, and find it difficult to enjoy scented soaps and diffuses because of this. I was dubious at first to try an aromatic pillow case, but glad that it exceeded my expectations. I attached one sandalwood sachet to the Velcro inside the pillow case on either side to produce the maximum effect. It was wonderful! I can still smell the sandalwood after four days! I found it soothing and comforting as I slept. I will certainly continue using this scent in the future."

"The smell is pleasant, but very strong. After I put it in the pillow protector with my pillow, I held the pillow protector under my chin while I put my pillowcase on it (about 5 seconds). I instantly felt my neck start to burn and got a red rash on my neck. I have been afraid to try any of the other sachets in case they cause the same reaction."

"It’s a beautiful scent - it’s very earthy, warm, and woodsy while still being refreshing and extremely comforting. I gave 4 stars because the scent was a bit strong to sleep with in my pillowcase but I enjoyed having it near my bed while I slept."
